Pride

A beautiful sign that the deployment is almost over.  Time for the awards.

I gotta brag.  Dan was awarded his second Bronze Star.  The first one was for his last deployment to Afghanistan.   I’m glad they recognized him for his hard work and commitment.  Only 26 days… 25 really, today is basically over.

I’m SO proud of you, Babe!

Congrats, congrats and mazel tov!!! We’re praying for Dan’s safe return to your family.
Thanks to our brave troops who brave tough weather, family separation, lack of political support, war protesters and harsh conditions to keep our nation free.
Last night, I was at a Gold Star Mothers event, honoring our California troops who have given their lives for this country. I was so amazed at the bravery and sacrifice these young men and women (well, woman, my stepdaughter was the only female among them) displayed both during their lives and in their deaths. Our country has so much to be thankful for!
Keep the faith, Jean, yours is as difficult a job as Dan’s!!!!!

What a wonderful thing! I get choked up thinking about our men and women who are deployed. Regardless of politics it is still a sacrifice to be be separated from family and the comforts of home. I hope the last few days fly for you:)

Congratulations to Dan on his award and congrats to you on keeping things together. Alison is right; you worked just as hard keeping the home together while Dan was gone. I am so happy for your entire family that the end is near. I am so proud of you all!
