Unprogress Report

Things were going swimmingly on the “damn raglan” until I realized they weren’t.

I had to rip out 12 rounds (400+ stitches per each round) down to where the sleeves attach to the body.  Grrr.  I consider myself an experienced knitter.   This should be a very simple sweater for me.   What the heck?!

Okay.  I’m calm now.  I think I have things figured out now.  I’ll keep you posted but if everything goes right this sweater will be done by the end of the weekend.   I’m determined.  Don’t hold your breath.  Just wanted to let you know I hadn’t fallen off the face of the earth….. yet……

Ouch, that’s a lot of stitches! I’d be pretty darn irritated, too. I hope the rest of the sweater goes well, and you finish it soon. Good luck.

You’ll get there. It may not be pretty, and it may not be smooth, but I have every faith you will scale the mountain! Or raglan, in this case.

I have been there, Jean and all I can say is that it happens to the best of us! One thing about ripping out…..it always makes me wish I could undo things in my life and reknit so easy. It always feels so rewarding to me when I have ripped back, gotten those stitches back on the needles and knitted past the kinks in my yarn.

Oh, man! Sorry to hear that… I’m always so annoyed at myself when I make a mistake with something that “should” be automatic… but you will be right on track again and finished in no time. Still annoying, though.

Looove the baby picture – have to admit, that expresses exactly how I feel when something like that happens. What you need is a pacifier – like, maybe, going shopping for one cool new ball of sock yarn 🙂
At least this week’s cooled down a bit and knitting is much more fun….
